Royal Bath Hotel

The Royal Bath Hotel is the oldest in Bournemouth, opening its doors in 1838 on Queen Victoria’s Coronation Day, and since 1974 the hotel has been listed as a Grade ll listed building. The hotel is in a great position on the cliff side facing the south coast’s beautiful Bournemouth Beach and nestled in majestic grounds dating back to the 19th century.

If you’re looking for a superb lunch in Bournemouth’s very first hotel, then make a reservation at Oscar’s Brasserie, named after the infamous Oscar Wilde, who was a regular guest at the hotel. Alternatively, you could try out Café Promenade and sample some of their delicious bites, with a view you can genuinely appreciate.

The Royal Bath Hotel offers leisure facilities, including a spa, conference rooms, and weddings, and the hotel is pet friendly.

Bournemouth is loved by many for its beautiful miles of golden sandy beaches, fantastic places to eat, and its famous Bournemouth Pier. You are not short of things to do in Bournemouth. During the day, you can visit the Oceanarium positioned right by Bournemouth Beach at Pier Approach or ride on the Bournemouth Big Wheel and soak up the views of the coastline and town. When nighttime falls, many bars and restaurants suit all tastes and budgets. Enjoy a night on Bournemouth Pier and eat at Key West, an excellent bar and grill, or you might like to try West Beach. This highly regarded seafood restaurant uses the freshest local ingredients, daily catches, and some of the best wines worldwide.

The first hotel to open its doors in Bournemouth, back in June 1838 - the same day on which Queen Victoria was coroneted, it enjoys an ideal location at the seafront, offering panoramic views of the sea, Bournemouth pier and hotel gardens.
